How to sell fast on Buy & Sell

In short

Sign in, set up your store, and post one item with at least 3 of your own photos and a real price. Keep phone numbers out of the ad: buyers reach you through Shaxi.

Post an ad that gets approved

  1. Sign in and set up your store: a store name, region (town is optional) and a description of at least 20 characters. Add a Store Phone or WhatsApp number (in the app: Edit store). You need one before you can submit an ad, and it goes in those boxes, not in the description.
  2. Photos: add 3 to 10 of your own photos of the item. The first one is the cover. JPEG, PNG, WebP and iPhone (HEIC) photos all work. On the website each photo can be up to 10 MB, and you can upload from your phone by scanning a QR code.
  3. Details and price: a title that names the item, a real price in GH₵, the right category and condition, and an honest description. Turn on “Price is negotiable” if you’ll take offers.
  4. Review: check everything, then tap Submit for Review in the app. On the website, tick that you agree to the rules, then submit. Ads are checked by AI first, and anything it isn’t sure about goes to a person.

The rules that matter most

  • One item per listing, and one listing per item. Republish an old ad instead of posting it again.
  • Only your own photos: no catalogue, stock or other sellers’ pictures, and no screenshots.
  • No phone numbers, WhatsApp, handles, emails or links in photos, title or description. Buyers reach you through Shaxi chat and the call button.
  • A real price: no GH₵1, and no “ask for price”.
  • If your ad is rejected, the notice tells you why (on the website it’s also shown in My ads). Fix it before resubmitting, since an unchanged ad can’t be resubmitted.
  • Each team rejection for contact details, a prohibited item, a false claim or copied photos is a strike (at most one a day). 3 strikes in 30 days pause posting and editing for 7 days.

Get buyers talking

  • Daylight photos from a few angles, with the cover showing the whole item.
  • Answer chats quickly. Once they sign in, buyers can chat, see your phone number, or WhatsApp you if you added it.
  • Ads stay live for 90 days. After that you can select Republish up to 3 times. It may go back to review and needs a free ad slot on your plan.

Boosts and plans

  • Top Ad, GH₵25 for 7 days: shown in the Top ads box above matching results, sharing 2 spots fairly with other Top ads.
  • Urgent, GH₵12 for 7 days: a red URGENT badge and a place in Urgent sales. It doesn’t move your ad up.
  • Top + Urgent, GH₵32 for 7 days: both together.
  • Pay from your wallet or by MoMo (MoMo adds about 1%). On the website, My ads shows each boost’s results: Seen in lists, Opened, Buyer contacts and Saved.
  • Plans: Free gives 3 live ads. Basic is GH₵150 for 30 days: 15 ads plus 1 Top boost a month. Premium is GH₵300: 50 ads, 3 Top boosts and priority in search. Business is GH₵500: 150 ads, 6 Top and 2 Urgent boosts, priority, and you can apply for Verified.
  • On the website, paid ads carry a TOP · Ad or URGENT mark and plan members a member mark. The app shows Top ads with a TOP badge today, and an app update adds the same marks.
