Posting rules

Every listing must follow these ten rules.

1. 1 One item per listing Sizes and colours of the same item are fine. Different products need their own listings, each with its own price.
2. 2 Your own photos of the item you have Add at least 3 clear photos you took yourself. No catalog, stock or promo graphics, no screenshots, and no photos from other sellers. Shaxi adds its watermark for you.
3. 3 No contact details anywhere No phone numbers, WhatsApp, social media handles, emails or links in your photos, title or description. Buyers reach you through Shaxi chat and the call button.
4. 4 A title that names the item Say what it is: brand, model and key detail, for example "iPhone 13 128GB, UK used". Not your shop name or a slogan.
5. 5 A real price for that item No placeholder prices like GHS 1 and no "ask for price". If the price is per unit, such as per metre, roll or pair, say so.
6. 6 The right category and condition Pick the category that matches the item. "Brand new" means never used.
7. 7 An honest description Say what is included, any faults, and the size or specs. Do not call an item original or authentic unless it is.
8. 8 Yours to sell, in Ghana You must own the item or be allowed to sell it, and it must be in Ghana.
9. 9 Only allowed items No prohibited items. Restricted items only under their conditions.
10. 10 One listing per item Do not post the same item again. Edit or renew your existing listing instead.

These cannot be sold on Shaxi Buy & Sell. The list is not complete: anything illegal in Ghana is also not allowed.

• Drugs and prescription medicines Narcotics, steroids and any medicine that needs a prescription.
• Tobacco, cigarettes and vapes Ghana bans tobacco advertising, and the FDA bans selling vapes.
• Weapons Guns, ammunition, explosives, and police or military equipment.
• Counterfeit goods Fake or imitation branded goods, counterfeit money, and fake documents or IDs.
• Pirated copies and stolen goods Copied films, music, software or games, and anything stolen.
• Banned skin-bleaching products Creams and soaps with hydroquinone or mercury, which Ghana's FDA has banned.
• Health products that claim to cure Anything sold as a cure or treatment for an illness.
• Human organs and protected wildlife Including ivory, pangolin and other protected animals or their parts.
• Adult content and sexual services Explicit material and any sexual service.
• Money and investment offers Loans, money transfers, crypto, investment schemes, multi-level marketing and pyramid schemes.
• Break-in and spying tools Lock-picking and code-grabbing devices, spyware and hacking tools.
• Used underwear A banned import in Ghana.
• Property, jobs and services Post these in Properties, Jobs or Services instead.

You can sell these as long as the listing meets the conditions.

• Alcohol Sealed, labelled drinks only. You must be 18 or older, and sell only to buyers aged 18 or older.
• Homemade food Say what is in it and when it was made, keep it fresh and hygienic, and make no health claims.
• Packaged food and drinks Sealed and within their use-by date.
• Health and beauty products Supplements, herbal products, sexual wellness and skin products must be registered with Ghana's FDA. Show the FDA number in a photo of the pack or in the description, and make no claims that the product cures or treats anything.
• Used fridges and air conditioners Say they are used, whether they work, and any faults.
• Animals and pets Pets and farm animals only. No wild or protected animals.
• Vehicles Give the model year (or write "registered 2018"), the mileage, and whether it is registered.
• Branded goods Only genuine items. Shaxi does not check authenticity before publishing, but listings reported by brand owners are removed and repeat sellers lose access. Never call an item original if it is not.

How we check listings

• Every listing is checked New listings and edits are reviewed before they go live. If something needs fixing, we tell you what and why.
• Fix before you resubmit A listing rejected by our team cannot be resubmitted until you change it.
• Strikes When our team rejects a listing for contact details, a prohibited item, a false claim or photos copied from other sellers, it counts as a strike (at most one a day). 3 strikes in 30 days pause posting and editing listings for 7 days.
• Buyer reports A listing that several buyers report as a scam can be hidden until our team checks it.
• Serious breaches Scams and prohibited items can lead to your account being suspended.
