1. How to Request Deletion
Option A — In the Shaxi app (fastest)
Open the Shaxi app, go to your account settings, and choose to delete your account. For your security, you’ll confirm the request with a one-time code (OTP) sent to your phone. Your account is then deactivated and scheduled for permanent deletion. If you change your mind during the short grace period before deletion completes, contact us at info@shaxigh.com and we’ll try to stop it.
Option B — By email
Email info@shaxigh.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Data Deletion Request,” and include the phone number registered to your account so we can verify it’s you. We will confirm once your request has been actioned.
2. What Gets Deleted
When your deletion request is completed, we remove or anonymise the personal data linked to your account, including:
- Your profile (name, phone, email, photo) and account settings.
- Saved items, job alerts, and saved jobs.
- Your job applications and uploaded CVs, your marketplace listings, and your store profile.
- Your in-app messages and contact-reveal records.
- Device and push-notification tokens linked to your account.
3. What We May Keep (and Why)
We may need to retain a limited amount of information after deletion, only where the law allows or requires it, or to protect our users. This can include:
- Transaction and wallet records — kept for financial, tax, and audit purposes.
- Safety and fraud records — kept to prevent abuse and to resolve disputes or claims.
- Records we are legally required to keep — for the period set by law.
Where we keep such data, we limit it to what is necessary and protect it in line with our Privacy Policy.
4. Deleting Specific Items (Without Closing Your Account)
You don’t have to delete your whole account to remove specific data:
- A marketplace listing: delete it yourself from “My listings.”
- Profile details: edit or remove them in your account settings.
- A job application: email us at info@shaxigh.com and we’ll withdraw and remove it for you.
5. Timeline
Account deletion starts as soon as the grace period ends (for in-app requests) or once we have verified an email request. We aim to complete deletion within a reasonable period, except for the limited records described in Section 3 that we are required to retain.
